Are you experiencing ongoing mood issues like anxiety or depression, having trouble sleeping or even experiencing learning challenges? An imbalance in neurotransmitter levels could be the root cause. Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that relay information from one nerve to another. When they are out of balance the body may be over or under stimulated, which can trigger a range of neurological or psychological issues. The Mood & Mind Neurotransmitter test will measure levels of calming and energizing neurotransmitters and their metabolites, identify the nature of any imbalance and make sure you have the right solutions to bring your body back to equilibrium.
Genetics, chemical exposure in your environment and nutritional deficiencies are some key factors that can impact neurotransmitter production. Once they are out of balance, it's only a matter of time before the nervous system will try to compensate, leading to neurological or psychological symptoms like anxiousness, low mood, ADHD/hyperactivity disorders, sleep disturbances, persistent stress and chronic fatigue. Using a simple urine sample, the Mind & Body Neurotransmitter Test can uncover a potential neurotransmitter imbalance, and based on your results you can begin to implement appropriate diet and lifestyle recommendations that will help to rebalance your mind and body.
Stress, diet, toxins, drugs, alcohol and nicotine are a few factors that negatively affect brain function. If you know something doesn't feel right, but you can't quite shake it, The Mood & Mind Neurotransmitter test can help uncover any imbalance in key brain chemicals that directly impact your mood, ability to manage stress, sleep, and energy levels. Because of the key connection between hormones and neurotransmitters, an imbalance can influence the production, signaling and metabolism and be the reason you just don't feel like yourself. If you've taken steps to investigate, but your issues persist, this simple at-home urine test is designed to help you assess any neurotransmitter imbalance and provide the solutions you need to rebalance your mind and body with appropriate recommendations based on your results.
Serotonin, 5-HIAA, GABA, Glycine
Inhibitory (calming) neurotransmitters block or prevent the chemical message from being passed along any farther.
Serotonin: Helps regulate mood, sleep patterns, sexuality, anxiety, appetite and pain. Diseases associated with serotonin imbalance include seasonal affective disorder, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia and chronic pain.
5-HIAA: A metabolite of serotonin
GABA: The most common inhibitory neurotransmitter of your nervous system, particularly in your brain. It regulates brain activity to prevent problems in the areas of anxiety, irritability, concentration, sleep, seizures and depression.
Glycine: The most common inhibitory neurotransmitter in your spinal cord. Glycine is involved in controlling hearing processing, pain transmission and metabolism
Glutamate, histamine, PEA, dopamine, DOVAC, HVA, norepinephrine, epinephrine, norepinephrine:epinephrine ratio, VMA
Excitatory (energizing) neurotransmitters "excite" the neuron and cause it to "fire off the message," meaning, the message continues to be passed along to the next cell.
Glutamate: Functions as the major excitatory neurotransmitter and metabolic fuel throughout the body. Clinically, high glutamate is suspected in anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, depression and sleep issues and clinically low glutamate is implicated in depression, chronic fatigue, lack of concentration, low energy levels, and sleep disturbances.
Histamine is a neurotransmitter and immunomodulator. It regulates body functions including wakefulness, feeding behavior and motivation.
PEA: Serves as a biomarker for ADHD.
Dopamine: Serves as the reward and pleasure center in the brain, and messenger of the sympathetic nervous system in the periphery.
DOPAC and HVA: Metabolites of dopamine.
Norepinephrine (noradrenaline) and epinephrine(adrenaline): Regulate the "fight or flight" response to fear and stress. These neurotransmitters stimulate your body's response by increasing your heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, blood sugar and blood flow to your muscles, as well as heighten attention and focus to allow you to act or react to different stressors.
Ratio: Norepi/Epi. Having too much or too little of either can have noticeable effects on your health. An elevated ratio of Norepi/Epi may be consistent with poor conversion of norepinephrine to epinephrine.
VMA: A metabolite of norepinephrine and epinephrine.

This changed everything. My coach was AMAZING and caring. I am so grateful I did this that the protocols and supplements he assigned to me has made a world of difference. I wish I did this sooner, but so thankful I did.

I was recommended to take this test for my son who is having some health issues going on. This was an easy to do test with simple instructions. shipping was fast. Very convenient. Currently awaiting results and consultation. I feel confident in equalifes at-home labs and health coaching. I have done my own in the past and am always satisfied with the testing and protocols given to me. thank you
I had this test done with a Naturopath 3 years ago because I suspected a chemical imbalance was going on. I was having panic attacks regularly and this test was able to help me determine what was going on with the help of my doctor. Fast forward three years and I was having the same symptoms as before and I wanted to check that it was the same imbalance so I could fix the problem with supplements rather than go on medication. This is the fastest and easiest way I have encountered to have these tests done. Thank you.
Awesome test can’t wait to get my results back!
